In the building of bouleuterion at 19:30 p.m. – Christmas concert by the pupils of the Nafplio-based Angeliki Mavrouli Conservatory.

At 17:30 p.m., the pupils of the first Greek Junior High school of Nafplio will disguise themselves as elves and Santa Claus and wander around the old town to welcome tourists and wish everyone Merry Christmas.

Carols in the streets of the town by the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Nafplio.
At 18:00 p.m. The Dance Group of the Friends of the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation will wear traditional costumes and sing traditional local carols announcing in advance Jesus Christ’s Birth at the streets of the old town.

At 23:00 p.m.: Christmas carols at the neighbourhoods of Nafplio by the Mixed Polyphonic Ensemble of the Nafplio Municipal Chorus under the direction of Mr Theodossis Antoniadis.

At 17:30 p.m.: the pupils of the First Junior High School of Nafplio announce the coming of the New Year at the neighbourhoods of the old town.

Syntagma Square at noon – Concert by the Youth Band of the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Nafplio under the direction of Mr Theodossis Antoniadis. The programme comprises classical and Christmas works.

At noon, a group of pupils of the Second Junior High School of Nafplio and their music teacher Ms Barlias Evangelia will sing New Year carols at the old town.

At 23:00 p.m. at the Town Hall at Trion Navarchon Square! A feast to welcome the New Year. Carols by the Mixed Philharmonic Orchestra of Nafplio and the Municipal Chorus of Nafplio. The mayor of the town Mr Panagiotis G.Anagnostaras will cut the New Year cake into slices. The town hall will open from 22:00 p.m. so that the locals and the visitors of the town of Nafplio wish each other a Happy New Year, receive treats and get the calendar of 2009 kindly offered by the municipality of Nafplio.
