“Gods' travel” active in the field of alternative tourism, moves during the last years by giving emphasis to the educational, alternative tourism. The company’s logic starts from the opinion that the new generation, after coming in touch with the ideas of environment protection, sustainability and mild growth, can help to the degree that it is attributable to it in the promotion of these ideas in the community. Main target is to satisfy every traveller who doesn’t simply want to see a place through a bus or a car window, but he is seeking for a live travel experience, through his contact with nature and people who have deep knowledge and respect for the environment, the culture, the traditions and the history of the holy region of mountain Olympus.
For the designing of the educational excursions, there have been prior many conversations with teachers and all the partners aiming to a result that apart from the quality of the services and the nonnegotiable priority we show on the students' safety cultivates the interest on nature and ecological problems, on culture and Greek tradition. The excursion bring the children closer to the procedures of producing local products and introduce the students to the world of Olympus and generally of hiking, that has so many emotions to offer.
The founder and master representative of the organization is Mr. Giorgos Kitidis, permanent resident of the area and everlasting lover of nature and Olympus Mountain, and works together with a team of people with special love for nature and cultural inheritance, with love to the engagement of tourist programs for students and people who share the same concerns about the environment and the same love about civilization.
GODS’ TRAVEL, since 2005, is seated in Litochoro, a small, traditional town at the foot of the mythical mountain Olympus, in Pieria, North Greece.
